How to maintain a inventory item
First open your peachtree software then go on maintain click on inventory item then this window appares us


First we give cusmter id which we make in genrl ledgr accoumt then we give dercrpriition like this is are sale account etc then the right side of this  pic show item cls we enter stock item me record about are inventory
Then the first otipn is general in which first we enter the price level that which is are price level 2nd is item tax  in which which type of tax aprer on this item then the option is last unit cost and then cost methed we tells the soft wear which cost methed we use
Then on right side we give the gl sale account  then the option is gl inventory accoumt we give the inventory  account id then the cos of sale account  then in last the option is item type that which type of item we sale then we tells about location then unit weghit then the option is minimum stock that tells us if over stock wil go down to the minimum stock then we go on dengers  level and then reorder price level that when we give the reoder to are inventry
Then next step is customer fields in which we enter about are cusmter and any special note which we wants to tel are cusmter
Alternative vendor name we give

Charts Of Accounts
first open your Peachtree software in the upper side of bar you have many option  then click on  maintain then there is an option of chart of account





Click on charts of account then a window appear




Then type ACCOUNT ID  e. g  id for sale is 400 . then write description and account type.  It describe how accounts will be assemble in groups



So Account ID is 400 . account type is cash and it is describing that we are doing sales

Now select the  period and enter the balance which you have in the beginning  of the  period which you select

First we open peachtree

In upper side of peachtree we got the option of maintain then maintain gives us the option of chater of accounter we click on customer proesspteer

When we open the cusmter proespterr that window shows us


Process of filling this window

When this window appears then first column is of account id in which the number which you want to assign to that account should be written while writing keep in mind that you have to give some space to these id numbers so that you can edit them or make additions after some time period. After that press the Tab key from your keyboard and then the cursor will automatically shifts to the description column. In which you write your account or heads name like petty cash or some thing like that.
Again press Tab option your cursor will shift in the account type column here you can select your account type like for petty cash you should select the cash option from the account type. After filling these columns press Alt S keys in order to save your current id window. So that one account is maintained in this way.
In this window as you see there is the option of inactive by clicking to that option you can easily inactivate any account for some time period and whenever you want to active it again click in this block. You can open your all accounts which are maintained by just clicking to that magnifier option which is opposite to the account id column. From these accounts if you want to make any changes in its description or in its id just double click it then that required account opens and now you can easily change whatever you want to. In this same row two errors are also mentioned in it by clicking them you can see all accounts one by one. In this window you can also edit the account id by clicking the change id option which is at the top of this window



Then we go on sale defaults  that shows us salae rap etc and pricing level
Then  the next option is payment defaults that shows us that payment is on credit baise on cash baise
Then we go on history and that we enter data that is  tells us that when we sale are products
